Last February 14, during the World Government Summit 2017 awarding ceremonies in Dubai, UAE, in front of more than 8,000 delegates from all over the world, a startup from the Philippines was praised as one of the best and brightest in the world by winning in the recently concluded UAE Blockchain Virtual GovHack.
KrASIA -The Philippine startup has developed a digital clinic management system to manage patient records, schedule appointments, and track inventory.
Medical data is key to the diagnosis of medical conditions to improve clinical decision-making and enhance patient outcomes. But the collection and management of medical data, including record keeping, can be a tedious process for healthcare professionals.
For example, electronic health records (EHRs) are health information often used by doctors to keep track of their patients’ conditions. On average, medical professionals would need to spend around 16 minutes to use or update an EHR for a single patient. Also, in a 2018 survey of 20,000 physicians, 70% of respondents said they spent ten hours or more on paperwork and administrative tasks each week.
To address this problem, Philippine-based startup HealthBlocks has come up with HealthBlocks 360, a digital platform that aims to relieve healthcare practitioners of their administrative burden.
